Maori Rock Art – workshop

Workshop excerpt   [2:51]   In completing her online PhD Charlotte Andrew required a video to demonstrate the premise of her defense to her advisors and show her understanding of her subject. In this excerpt Ms Andrew explains her hypothesis on how one might interpret ancient Maori Rock Art, and also how to make shark liver oil. Maori would combine shark liver oil, weka oil, or titi oil with ground ochre, bound together with saponin from a cabbage tree to make dyes for painting. The documentary video helped Ms. Andrew in a successful defense of her PhD thesis.
