Maori Rock Art

Excerpt   [2:56]   In completing her online PhD, Charlotte Andrew required a video to demonstrate the premise of her defence to her advisors and show her understanding of her subject. In this excerpt from a public workshop Ms Andrew put on, she explains her hypothesis on how one might interpret ancient Maori Rock Art. She also explain how to make shark liver oil. Maori would combine shark liver oil, weka oil, or titi oil with ground ochre, bound together with saponin from a cabbage tree to make dyes for painting. The documentary video helped Ms. Andrew, now Dr Andrew, in a successful defence of her PhD thesis.
